Decorating My Bedroom For Christmas

1.jpg

Every year I get excited to decorate the house for Christmas.  The highlight is to decorate my bedroom which makes me feel super festive. I love to wake up in the morning and see my beautiful decorations. Here are some easy and affordable ways to make your space feel Christmassy

Festive Pillows

I found these beautiful plaid and burgundy pillow covers from IKEA! They are budget friendly and really pop against my white bed linen.

Faux Fur Throw

Nothing says cozy more than a beautiful faux fur throw blanket. I love the look of it at the end of my bed and it really warms up my room.

Magnolia Leaves

These are some of my favourite Christmas greens. I love the size of the leaves and how they are green on one side and burnt orange on the other. I placed them on top of one of my paintings and love the simplicity.

Garland and Greens

I purchased this garland from IKEA Canada for only $10.00. Adding this to the end of my bed is an affordable way to make things feel extra Christmassy. I also love to gather real greens and some of my favourites are cedar and pine. I added in pieces of greenery between the décor on my shelves. I love this look!

Christmas Tree

For the last few years I been wanting to have a small tree in my room. I found it difficult to find the right size and the right price. This year I found this perfect sized tree at IKEA for only $30.00! I used a wooden basket for the base.

I decorated the tree with Christmas bulbs that match the plaid pillows on my bed. All of the bulbs were purchased at Canadian Tire. I topped the tree with a jean bow. To finish off the look I draped a fur throw around the base and arranged creative Christmas presents with winter greens and twine bows underneath the tree.

Christmas Candles

The smell of a Christmas tree is one of my favourite smells EVER. This candle, Holly Berry & Evergreen, makes my whole bedroom smell fresh and really puts me in the holiday spirit

I just adore how cozy my room feels and I hope I have inspired you sweeties to decorate yours too!

 Until next time,

Marcy xo
