Decorating Your Holiday Mantle Like A Pro With CAA & Bouclair

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!! I have partnered with CAA and Bouclair to decorate my mantle like a professional this holiday season! I love using my CAA Dollars toward decor for the Christmas Holidays! (Shop online or in-store and save! Members save an extra 5% on purchases at Bouclair. When planning out my mantle this year, I wanted to be sure to play with texture and size. I also didn’t want to do a traditional Christmas. My goal was to switch things up, so instead of going with red and green, I chose a more neutral pallet with colours like, blush pink, greys and warm tones. I made sure to mix some of Bouclair’s holiday decor along with their regular decor, so that I can reuse items in different places after the Holidays!

I love to add different heights when decorating the mantle for Christmas. I started with a large white vintage mirror that I had and layered it with some black matted artwork. I love how the mirror brings a traditional look to the mantle and that the black frame is a little bit more modern. I also had some beautiful blush pink and white trees that add some nice dimension and some extra sparkle to the set up.

The main colour pallet started when I saw these cute Pink Reindeer Ornaments. Normally you would hang these on your Christmas tree, but I wanted to take a different approach. I added two of them on the mantle a little bit separated from one another to add the perfect shade of blush pink and a little bit of gold sparkle. I love the texture and how they add some quirkiness to the Christmas display.

I also came across these Wool Ball Ornaments. These too would normally be hung on the tree. I placed them on either sides of the mantle. I love that the knitted texture feels and looks super cozy and how they brings in a little hint of grey.

The Decorative Rattan Balls and the Decorative Natural Rope Balls added a nice touch of warmth. I did not find these in the Christmas section but think that they look great with the rest of the decor. The nice thing about adding some items that are not specifically for Christmas is that they can always be re-styled in a different setting afterwards.

This wooden, wintery, Glass and Wood Candle Holder sits in the middle of the mantle and really grounds the rest of the decor. I love that the tea candles add some warmth and that they can sit nicely in front of the artwork and the mirror. I could also see this candle holder displayed on a dining table or console table. I love it so much that I might keep it up all winter long!

As I mentioned before, I am all for decor that can work all year round. I found this beautiful pink Two-Toned Table Vase and knew I had to get it. I love how these two vases have the same look but are different shapes and sizes. The blush pink colour was perfect and the creamy white stone added a little bit of a glossy finish. I filled the Triple Effect Ceramic Vase with some Christmas greens. I kept the other one empty. I do this in order to keep the mantle balanced. These two vases look perfect here in the winter but I could also see them on a coffee table in the summer full of greens or flowers!

You may recognize these taper Wood Candlestick Holders from my Autumn table setting. I loved them so much that I had to bring them back. The colour of the wood is the perfect shade of brown and I really enjoy the mid century modern shape they have. This time I paired three together with three different height taper candles. I think this adds just the right height and the right balance to the mantle.

Note: I always love to add candle light to any mantle that I create. When all the candles are lit up at night time it brings such a magical feeling to the space and makes all of the other pieces sparkle.

The last touch was all of the greenery added to the mantle.

Some of my favourite Christmas greens include:

  • Magnolia Leaves

  • Cedar Greens

  • Pine Greens

  • Olive Twigs, Garland

Lately I have been also loving the more dried plants like pampas grasses and other dried flowers added to the greenery to give it a more natural look!
