End Of The Summer Dinner Under An Apple Tree

Last week I was picking some veggies from the garden with my Nonno when I noticed his beautiful over grown apple trees. The way that the branches and leaves covered the inside of the tree looked magical. I knew that I had to take advantage of this enchanting space.

I told my girlfriends to dress warm and cozy and meet at the tree at 6:30pm. I ran around the house and gathered flowers, charger plates, candles and a deck of cards. I went out to the dollar store and grabbed some cute checkered plastic plates, cups and napkins, so there was no need for dishes. I set up the harvest table, strung twinkly lights in the trees and used 4 of my Nonno’s white plastic chairs that him and my Nonna have been sitting on for years. It was so special.

We each brought a bottle of wine, made a big salad with the veggies from the garden and ordered in delicious veggie sandwiches and potato salad from The Tide and Vine.

The night was full of good conversation, laughs and amazing food. We made beautiful memories. I’m so happy that I took the time to create a beautiful setting in a simple place that has always been so close to my heart!
